Delivering mails to Hotmail and Outlook.com (Resolved)

  • Currently our users are experiencing issues delivering mails to Hotmail and outlook addresses.

    What we can see from our logs is that the mails are being delivered to Microsofts servers and then disappear, meaning never reaching the recipients mailboxes. This is not an issue in our hallway, but rather in Microsofts.

    Following social media we can see a lot of users are complaining about not receiving nor being able to send email - We will update once we have verified this issue has been fixed.

  • Our datacenter in Malmö and Stockholm are currently experiencing network issue towards certain ISPs.

    Currently we can say that users on Telia networks are the once mostly affected by this. We have reported this to our upstream provider and awaiting feedback from them.

    We have just been informed that this is due to a large power outage in skåne, which has hit our ISP. At the moment they are unable to give us any ETA on the matter. 

    Update: 12:00 
    The power company is trying to reroute the power, but their power substation keeps failing. Their technicians are working on a solution and will update us again as soon as they have some news.

    Update: 13:50 
    They have restored power for some parts, but still working on a solution for the area we are in and cannot say when they will have it up yet.

    Update: 15:40 
    The power has finally been restored and the server is back online. 

    Update: 20:00 
    The internet connection died once again. We are trying to get a hold of the ISP to get further info, if it is the same issue as earlier today.  

    Update: 21:00 
    The Power outage earlier today, has cause some hardware failure at the ISP, they are investigating at the moment and will update us as soon as possible.  

    Update: 21:45 
    A temporary workaround has been provided, so we are back up and running, however it can be a bit unstable untill Monday / Tuesday when the ISP can solve the issue.

    Our ISP has informed us that they are experiencing gateway issues in the area and they are working on solving the problem.
    They were at the moment unable to give us any estimated time. We will update this ticket as soon as we have more information.

    ISP Technicians are still working on solving the issue. We are seeing the connection going more up and down. So hopefully we should be back on-line in not to long.

    Connection has been restored. We will monitor the connection to ensure that the problem has been fully resolved, as we are still awaiting a final report from the ISP.

  • Monday the 5th of May 2014 we will be performing a server migration from 23:00 to 03:00 CEST.
    Your sites will not be down during the migration, but any changes you make between 23:00 and 03:00 will not be available until after 03:00. We are migrating to a new server at a new location, giving us access to a better infrastructure.

    If you are managing your own DNS, you will need to change the IP from 193.12.247.173 to 178.236.74.50 so that it will be active at 03:00 CEST on Tuesday the 6th of May 2014. If we are managing your DNS, we will of course make sure this is done.

    We will be available on email and chat during the migrating, if you should have any questions or concerns.

    ** Update 15:30 **
    We have just been informed that the ISP or actually the company controlling all the fibers in the area, wont be able to have it fixed until the 27th of December.
    It would seem the Cable issues has caused some other hardware to burn off, which they have to order, before being able to replace. 
    We will keep you updated as soon as we know more.

    ** Update Friday 27th - 10.55 **
    The connection has now been restored, we have not yet been able to get a update on what they have replaced, but the line is stable and we will monitor it closely for the rest of the day to make sure its running as it should.
    Tonight some time after midnight ( 00:00 CET ) we will jump back to the Mumble server and put the Backup back on standby and not to worry, we will make sure not to close it if there are to many users online and inform those who may be online at the time.

  • DMI.dk and SMHI.se has sent out a storm warning for Thursday 05/12-2013 and 24 hours forward.
    It shouldn't be as bad as the one we experienced in October but longer lasting. By this we are giving our users a pre-warning, that our services may be affected by this. It could be a power outage or a damaged network core, rest assured our switches and servers are backed by UPS and diesel generators, but this does not mean we are home safe since there is a lot of third parties involved.
    We will of course do everything we can to stay online and correct any issue that might occur.

    eON who is providing power is fighting with power outages all around Skåne and we just had our first short power outage.
    At the moment everything is up and running.

Risk för avbrott i områden med stormvarning! (Resolved)

  • SMHI har utfärdat s.k. "klass 3-varningar" i områden på framförallt västkusten, samt delar av sydsverige. Detta med anledning av den annalkande stormen Simone.
    I det fall stormen skulle orsaka strömavbrott finns det risk för att detta även medför avbrott på Mumble & Web/Mail hosting. Våra servrar sitter på UPS och diesel generatorer men om en central knutpunkt skulle drabbas kan det medföra avbrott av våra tjänster.

    Trots varningen hoppas vi ändå att allting fortsätter att fungera.

    SMHI has announced a "class 3-warning" in areas around the westcoast and south sweden.
    This can cause powercuts and a risk for downtime on our Mumble and Web/Mail hosting. Our servers are backed by UPS and diesel generators, but if the network backbone is hit by downtime, then it could cause downtime on our services.

    Despite the warnings we hope our services wont be interrupted.

  • A critical security update was released for our hosting panel and to assure our clients security we made an emergency patch to make sure no clients would be compromised as a result of this flaw. The flaw itself was not know and was found by the developers of our hosting panel before a third-party could abuse it.
